Donna has lived in or near the Canton area all her life.  Her parents Frank and Norma Corry guided her in her walk with Christ as a child and instilled the basic truths she continues to pass on to her own children and grandchildren.  Donna claims, “life is really simple, just trust and obey Jesus Christ”.  Through the power of prayer and God’s Word, Donna has seen His faithfulness in, up, down, over and through her life. 

She and Gary have been married 30 years and their cup overflows with blessings including daughters Amanda Haynes and Jennra Jontra.  Mandy, their oldest, married Weldon Haynes in 2005 and Jenny married Stan Jontra in 2006. God’s Word has given Donna strength and guidance over the past decade as she has been busy graduating daughters through high school and college, planning weddings, and now helping corral 4 grandbabies.  She has two grandsons, Gus (3 years) & Eli (10 months) and two granddaughters, Aubrey (3 years) & Darcey (9 months). 

Donna worked in telephone engineering for 13 years before beginning her service at Lakeside in 2003. She is Administrative Assistant at Lakeside and recently added the position of Children’s Ministry Coordinator.  She also serves on the Executive Board of the East Texas Baptist Family Ministry of the Souther Baptist Convention.  Donna eagerly awaits what God has in store for her and Lakeside.  She knows to “prepare for rain” and expect His abundance.
