Sunday School

The leadership of Lakeside considers Sunday School to be one of the most important things we do. In an age where many churches are moving away from Small group Bible studies, we still put major emphasis on Sunday School(still the best way to describe what we do no matter what you call it). We have classes for every age group from bed babies through the eldest senior adults. We have four major Divisions which are Preschool, Children, Youth, and Adult.

Each Division is appropriately age-graded. In our Preschool Division we have classes for bed babies, toddlers, one's, two's, three's, four's, five's, and kindergarten. Our Children's Division has classes for first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, preteen boys (fifth and sixth grades), and preteen girls (fifth and sixth grades). Additional information about the youth may be found in the student area of this web site. In the Adult Division we currently have eleven COED classes, five classes for women, one class for men, one class for singles, and a class for college and career.

The basic definition we use for Sunday School is "Sunday School is the foundational strategy in a local church for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through open Bible study groups that engage people in evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship."

As you can see from above, we have a place for every member of your family. We invite you to join us as we strive to serve our Lord and our community. Come, get involved with some of the greatest people I personally have ever known. Sunday School at Lakeside is a great place to develop relationships with great, God-fearing, fun-loving Christians.
