There is absolutely no doubt that Lakeside Baptist Church is a faith based fellowship ready to scale the heights in order to minister to people more effectively and reach more people for Christ.  We are about to begin the third month of the two Sunday Morning Bible Fellowship format.  In the past six months I heard every reason in the world of why it would NOT work.  Mostly from outside the church but yes even some inside the fellowship.  At the end of two months, I could not be more pleased with how this format is operating.  It has indeed provided space for more people and in most cases the sizes of the classes have been made much more manageable to keep up with and minister.  Plus it has certainly put a new energy into our campus.

We have begun 5 new classes and another one set to begin on March 6^th.  It has been several years since we were able to begin new units. Now, before you speak, I do realize that two months is not the final picture.  There are still obstacles to overcome, but as long as the spirit of Lakeside continues to do whatever it takes, then we will be just fine.

One of the main problem areas which arose from this change is that we are in need of some men to serve in the Valet Ministry.  This ministry allows some of our senior adults to simply pull up outside the choir suite under the canopy and have someone park their car for them and then retrieve it at the conclusion of the service.  This is a great service to several in our fellowship.  If you would be interested in serving in the Valet Ministry, please contact David Wilkerson or Charles Baker.  In line with this request, if you and your family are able to park further away from the Worship Center, this would assist us with this problem as well.  Because of the vision of the Long Range Planning Committee several years ago, we are blessed with adequate parking at this time.  We just need to utilize it more effectively.

I would like to thank David Wilkerson, Ben Bolin, Joe Zinkgraf, Meagan Zinkgraf, Don Bolin, Carlton Young,  Gayla Harris, Donna Drake, Renee Bryant, Regina Wade and all of the Sunday Morning Bible Fellowship teachers and volunteers for all of their time, energy and wisdom in helping us move to the two track schedule.  YOU ALL ARE SUCH A BLESSING TO Me and to HUNDREDS!

So let me encourage all of us to treat each Sunday as Friendship Day.  Every week seek to be intentional by inviting someone to attend Sunday Morning Bible Fellowship and Worship with you.
